Mauldin Police

Detective Unit

The Mauldin Police Detective function is responsible for investigating both misdemeanor and felony level offenses. Through diligent and well planned investigative techniques, our Detectives gather, process, analyze and preserve evidence in our best attempt to solve crimes. Our Detectives are tenacious in their investigative techniques and work hard to ensure the safety and well-being of victims who are affected by the actions of others. By utilizing various outside resources, each Detective assists victims of crimes in returning to a place of normalcy in their life.

The Detective Unit currently consists of four officers, supervised by Sgt. Ben Ford (bford@mauldinpolice.com).

Although each Detective is cross-trained to conduct any type of investigation, several have specialized training in drug activity, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), gang investigations, juvenile offenses, and white-collar crimes.

Anyone who wishes to provide information for the detective division can contact the Division Supervisor at (864) 289-8956 or email detective@mauldinpolice.com
