Mauldin Police

Detective Unit

The Mauldin Police Detective function is responsible for investigating both misdemeanor and felony level offenses. Through diligent well planned investigative techniques, our Detectives gather, process, analyze and preserve evidence in our best attempt to solve crimes. Our Detectives are tenacious in their investigative techniques and work hard to ensure the safety and well-being of victims who are affected by the actions of others. By utilizing scores of resources, the Detective Division assists victims and others affected by crimes against them by making a host of resources available.

The Detective Unit currently consists of five officers, supervised by Sgt. Jason Peterson (jpeterson@mauldinpolice.com).

Although all Detectives are cross-trained to conduct any type of investigation, our agency also specializes in drug activity, Internet crimes against children (ICAC), gang investigations, juvenile offenses, and white-collar crimes.

Anyone who wishes to provide information for the detective division can contact the Division Supervisor at (864) 289-8983 or email detective@mauldinpolice.com
